Do I Need More than Dynamics GP’s Built-In BI Functionality?

Do I Need More than Dynamics GP’s Built-In BI Functionality?

In terms of managing and analyzing your company data in Dynamics GP there are basically two options:  go it alone with the built-in KPIs and reports that come with Dynamics GP or work through the integration and implementation process for a third-party Business Intelligence (BI) solution.  Here at SMBSuite we know that the most valuable tools are all about flexibility and mobility for your Microsoft Dynamics GP experience.  As you catch flights and work on the go to serve your global customer base, flexibility is key.  You should be able to access your company’s financials wherever you are, so that you can make the best decisions quickly for the future of your organization.

But the other piece of this puzzle is getting a system that works for you without needing an in-house expert to master a complex and crucial business process.  In the next few minutes, let us show you how our pre-configured, role-based dashboards and excel-based graphical report builder can give you the best of both worlds:  seamless GP integration and powerful, drag-and-drop customizable business intelligence tools that offer deep insights into your company data.

Third party products are offering best-of-breed solutions for Microsoft Dynamics GP customers who are charged with producing financial reports, budgets, dashboards, consolidations, etc.  And true cloud deployments mean flexible access for your busy professionals.  Whether in the back of a cab, in a client’s office, or on a flight, their involvement in making key decisions about the future of the company does not pause, so neither can access to crucial operational data.  Lots of corporations still depend on on-premises data analysis software, which then limits their interaction and interpretation of financials to being in the office – or generally entails clunkier remote access tools, such as Citrix, Terminal Server, or VPN.  If these are not offering you the true solution of flexible access that you seek, what can?

While there are plenty of aspects to consider when shopping for a solution that can give you the flexibility you need as a modern professional, data integration options might be the best place to start.  Do you and your team need to integrate live from Dynamics GP for a real-time analysis, can you rely on a BI data store, like an online analytical processing (OLAP) cube or a data warehouse, or do you need both?  And if you’ve traditionally been managing your company data in Excel, how important is it to keep using that tool to build new reports?  An Excel add-in with the aim of user friendliness, familiarity of coding and formatting, plus accelerated reporting and budgeting design could be a game-changer in terms of productivity for an already-taxed workforce.

With SMB Intelligence, powered by Solver, you’ll get the most powerful, customizable BI tool for Dynamics GP with deep ISV integration for nearly any industry vertical.  And we’ve gone ahead and built custom, role-based dashboards with all of the key metrics each of your team members need front-and-center from sales, financials and support staff, to warehousing, manufacturing, field services and distribution.  Add to that the easy customization and new report building functionality and it starts to make you wonder:  why keep choosing between ease of use and the tools you need?

Your Cloud Dynamics GP solution really can be easy to afford, easy to use and easy to love.  We’ve got plenty of free BI resources on our website and you can learn more here.
